Spring Loaded Casters

Spring Loaded casters are designed to absorb shocks and minimize the impact to the cart, resulting in smoother movement, reduced risk of damage and less noise.  Spring loaded casters are ideal for applications where surfaces are not even or flooring has damage or debris. They are also great for applications where the load may be fragile or highly reactive to vibration, such as small parts or glass.

Like other Aerol products, all components of our shock absorbing casters are made from maximum corrosion-resistant prime materials, and all of the maintenance-free features are incorporated, making Aerol the outstanding industrial casters for any job.

Application

Shock absorbing casters are ideal for jet engine dollies, aircraft jacks, in-plant trailers, trash gondolas, lift truck stabilizer casters, revolving signs, and parade floats.

Note:  Spring loaded casters must have the right springs to achieve optimal spring deflection. If the spring constant is too high, it could essentially be the same as not having a spring at all. If the spring constant is too low, it could extend the impact of the shock, and continue to vibrate excessively.  If you have questions, talked to an Aerol engineer. We are experts in the science of determining the right spring and caster combination for each individual application.

Options

Aerol has a wide variety of caster options. Many of these not only improve function – but also provide safety and add longevity to the product. When considering safety options, the most common consideration would be caster swivel locks, floor locks, and aluminum or steel pedal foot brakes.

Other options include clean room certified casters that do not emit gasses, are non-marking, and sealed so grease will not leak out, In addition, non-magnetic and spark proof casters are ideal for companies that make black powder, explosives, or fireworks.
