Pneumatic Wheels

Casters with Pneumatic wheels, also known as pneumatic tires, offer a softer alternative than most other industrial caster wheels. The Pneumatic caster wheel is made of rubber, similar to automobile tires/wheels, offering protection for both the flooring and the load. They are also a great choice for outdoor use. For high and load speed applications, pneumatic wheels are offered with sealed-hub construction for use where air-tight, water-tight, and permanent lubrication features are essential,

Pneumatic wheels also offer the highest shock mitigation without moving to a more expensive spring-loaded caster. For towing, pneumatics are rated to tow up to 25 mph.

Pneumatic wheels are usually air-filled but can be filled with foam to eliminate deflation issues. They are ideally suited for moving fragile or delicate cargo where the caster’s overall height is not critical.  These wheels provide longer life, less maintenance, and high shock absorbency.
