V-Groove Casters
Our V-Groove wheels are commonly used in industrial environments such as production lines and manufacturing. They also can be used in sliding/rolling gates and heavy-duty assembly line plants where high-temperature soldering and welding are done.
Aerol V-groove caster wheels are constructed of high-grade aluminum and are maintenance free. A relief groove at the base of the “V” equalizes the load to each face of the angle track. In addition, all wheel faces and “V” grooves are machined concentric to the bore for proper tracking. V-groove wheels are available in 8″,10″, and 12″ diameters.
One consideration to keep in mind: When pairing a caster and a track, you want to make sure that the hardness of one is more than the other. This helps to minimize the wear of one of the two components. Generally, the wheel is the component that takes the brunt of wear, as it is easier and cheaper to change out wheels than tracks.
Application
V-groove wheels are used for exceptionally heavy loads where precise alignment or indexing or equipment is necessary. These casters are capable of guiding industrial ovens, paint booths and other similar equipment.

Options
Aerol has a wide variety of caster options. Many of these not only improve function – but also provide safety and add longevity to the product. When considering safety options, the most common consideration would be caster swivel locks, floor locks, and aluminum or steel pedal foot brakes.
Other options include clean room certified casters that do not emit gasses, are non-marking, and sealed so grease will not leak out, In addition, non-magnetic and spark proof casters are ideal for companies that make black powder, explosives, or fireworks.
