Plastic Wheels

Plastic wheels are lightweight, durable, and cost-effective. Standard offerings are available in nylon, but other plastics can be specified. Plastic wheels offer smooth rolling on hard surfaces like concrete or tile and provide a quieter operation when compared to steel. They are also resistant to chemicals, moisture, and corrosion. However, they may wear down quickly on rough or abrasive surfaces and are not ideal for extreme loads or high-impact environments.

Specifications

  • Standard load rating available from 0 LBS to 15,000 LBS
  • Standard speed ratings available from 0-3 mph
  • Standard wheel sizes available from 3” to 12”
  • Standard offerings available in nylon, all commercially available plastics can be specified depending on application
  • Standard bearing offerings in tapered bearings, precision ball bearings, roller bearings, and bushings

Benefits

  • Increased load capacities
  • Increased chemical resistance
  • Used on multiple surfaces due to durability
  • Non-marking
  • Lower rolling resistance
