High Profile Wheels

The success and popularity of Cushion Tread Wheels prompted AEROL CO. to make available a series of high-profile wheels with similar tire construction for mounting on straight stub axles and in casters. High-profile wheels are defined as anything with a tread over 3/4″ thick.

The advantage of using high-profile wheels is the additional amount of shock mitigation you get from the thicker treads. These new wheels consist of two rubber compounds: the face of the tread is of a tough, abrasion-resistant compound, and the remainder of the tire is of a soft heat-resistant, energy-absorbing rubber.

The wheel core is a lightweight aluminum casting. High Profile wheels have been produced in 16-inch, 12-inch, and 10-inch sizes.

Enhanced Ground Clearance: Overcoming Obstacles with Ease

One of the primary advantages of high-profile wheels lies in their increased ground clearance. This feature proves invaluable in applications where navigating uneven terrain or overcoming obstacles is a regular occurrence. Whether in off-road vehicles, industrial machinery, or agricultural equipment, the heightened clearance provided by high-profile wheels ensures smoother traversal over rocks, roots, and other impediments, reducing the risk of damage and enhancing overall durability.

Improved Off-Road Performance: Tackling Challenging Terrains

High profile tires are specifically engineered to excel in off-road environments. Their larger diameter allows for a more substantial footprint, distributing weight more effectively and improving traction on challenging terrains. This capability makes high-profile wheels a preferred choice in off-road vehicles, such as ATVs, 4×4 trucks, and utility vehicles, where reliable performance in rugged landscapes is essential.

Aesthetic Appeal: Style Meets Functionality

Beyond their functional advantages, high-profile wheels often bring a distinctive aesthetic appeal to vehicles. The larger diameter and unique designs contribute to a bold and rugged appearance, making them a popular choice among automotive enthusiasts who seek to enhance the visual appeal of their vehicles. This fusion of style and functionality has led to the widespread adoption of high-profile wheels in the automotive aftermarket.

Customization Options: Tailoring Performance to Specific Needs

High-profile wheels offer a level of customization that caters to specific performance requirements. Different tread patterns, materials, and structural designs provide flexibility in tailoring the wheel to meet the demands of various applications. This adaptability makes high-profile wheels suitable for multiple industries, from agriculture and construction to outdoor recreation.
